  • We are Sharon (Shar) and Manny (Mani) Strauch and you will find us located close to Newmarket, Ontario, just north of Toronto, Canada.  We operate a small cattery and our emphasis is on healthy, well socialized  Maine Coons.  An added bonus is the fact that they just happen to be absolutely gorgeous - something we're sure you will come to appreciate as you navigate through our website.

  • We have been showing and breeding these wonderful animals since 1997.

  •  We proudly register and show our cats in both the CFA (Cat Fanciers Association) and the CCA (Canadian Cat Association).  We are founding members of the newest CCA club, Southern Ontario Cat Fanciers (SOCF), and we will be conducting our second CCA show in Oakville, Ontario, in September 2008.  Check back for further details.

  • Our kittens receive hands-on attention from the moment of their birth.  They are accustomed to human touch, smells and voices.  Our kittens are raised "under foot" and are very accustomed to normal everyday household noises.  They are very well socialized family members as a result of all this attention.   Our cats are never caged.

  • Breeding and raising Maine Coon kittens is a hobby, not a business.  For us it is a labour of love.

  • The most important thing for us is the continuing health and happiness of our kittens.  To help us ensure this, we require all prospective Sharmani Maine Coon owners to agree to the following:
  • Never allow your cat outdoors
  • Never declaw
  • Provide continuing nutritious diet
  • Provide continuing appropriate veterinary care
  • Provide ongoing love and affection

  •  Enjoy your tour of our website.  We appreciate your comments.
